McCrady, City Manager <br /> Greg Crowe, Assistant City Manager <br /> Billy Tyus, Assistant City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Recycling Education <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached <br /> agreement with DCC Marketing Group, LLC to assist in the development of an <br /> educational program for the city's new single stream recycling program. The agreement <br /> is for a fee of$4,000 per month amortized over a 12-month period ($48,000). <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Attached please find a proposal from DCC Marketing to assist with the community <br /> education portion of the city's new single stream recycling program and various <br /> community outreach activities. As you know, education will be an integral part of <br /> establishing a successful program and helping the city to get beyond the current 15 <br /> percent recycling usage level. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: DCC Marketing, <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Greg Crowe, 424-2793 or Billy Tyus, 424-2753. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Educational efforts will be funded through a 50 <br /> cents fee assessed as part of the monthly recycling charge. <br />
