Section 2.Accepted materials under City's Single Stream <br /> Recycling Program <br /> Plastics shall include plastic bottles, containers and packages made from various resins including <br /> PETE, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS and other plastics, codes #1 through #7. <br /> Metals shall include Aluminum beverage cans (like household beverage cans made of <br /> aluminum); Tin, Steel, and Bi-Metal containers( like food, beverage, nonfood and aerosol cans <br /> made of mixed metal, such as tin and steel). <br /> Paper shall include old newspaper (ONP), advertising supplements and other paper grades as <br /> delivered to local subscribers of newspaper distributed in the area; magazines, junk mail, <br /> paperboard and telephone directories; paper from offices such as computer paper, sorted white <br /> ledger, copier paper and office stationary. <br /> Cardboard shall not include waxed cardboard <br /> Glass: Includes household glass containers, bottles and jars, including amber, flint, green, mixed <br /> and/or crushed glass. <br /> Under the City's Single-Stream Recycling Program, the above materials will be collected and <br /> must be processed, marketed, and sold. Please note that the City will not require the customers <br /> to flatten any recyclables. In addition, plastic bags, labels, lids, nozzles and metal neck rings may <br /> also be present in the recyclable materials delivered to the processing facility. <br /> Section 3.Commencement and Length of the Contract <br /> Due to overhauling change of the existing refuse and recycling system in the City, the new <br /> system is subject to a review and an approval by the City Council, 6 months from the start date. <br /> Subject to approval by the Council, the term of this contract shall be for five (5) years <br /> commencing April 1 2011 and expiring on March 31 of 2016. <br /> Section 4.Location of the facility <br /> Since the SSMRF is not located within the City limits, the City agrees to direct all the recyclable <br /> materials collected through the City's Single Stream Recycling Program to the Contractor's RTF <br /> located in Decatur, Illinois. Contractor shall provide the address of the RTF at the start of the <br /> program. After the start of the program, the Contractor may change the location of the RTF <br /> within the City of Decatur after obtaining written approval from the City. <br /> Section 5.Scale and Tipping Floor Access Requirements <br /> The Contractor must provide a scale and recyclables tipping floor with the following minimum <br /> hours of operation: <br /> Weekdays 7 am to 5:00 pm <br /> 3 <br />
