' Pa , e 5
By the end of the session, a top list of priority projects will be selected, along with a preliminary
list of the lead agency for each project.
Deliverable: Community Asset Map prepared by Teska in GIS for the target neighborhood.
Task 4: Identification of Funding Sources and Assignment of Tasks (March)
The next step of the process will be to identify prospective resources for each priority project.
This will include lead agencies for each task, other partners, and prospective funding sources.
Site Visit#3:Assignment of Tasks '
At the third site visit, each neighborhood will assign lead agencies, partners and funding sources
for each project in the neighborhood plan. A further refinement of priorities will be considered
once assignments have been made.
Metrics will be refined for each task to determine how the action will meet the 2020 objectives
in the Decatur Sustainability Plan.
Task 5: Completion of Plan and Launch of Neighborhood Action Plans(April)
The final task is to complete and release the neighborhood action plans and launch the
implementation process. The launch should be tied to a visible project—such as creation of a
community garden, launch of a targeted energy audit program, a workshop for native plantings,
etc.
The launch should be a public event with a broad invitation list and local media outreach to
demonstrate on-the-ground initiatives that are taking place in the neighborhood. CONO will
organize the launch event with the target neighborhood.
Teska Proiect Deliverables:
• Neighborhood Action Plan—which will include neighborhood characteristics,
community asset map, and priority projects. Electronic and 20 copies of the plan are
included in the budget.
• Spreadsheet identifying each action, lead agency, other partners
• Identification of funding resources, deadlines, and contact information
• Preliminary grant request letter to private or non-city government funders
