. <br /> break was not caused by the road work. UCM was retained to perform the necessary <br /> pavement repairs. The force of the water pressure from the main break lifted <br /> approximately 400 square yards of pavement which required the complete removal and <br /> replacement of the 12"thick asphalt pavement. The pavement repairs were completed on <br /> Wednesday, August 18 and South Side Drive was reopened to traffic. Pavement repair <br /> costs totaled $58,500. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this request. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, Keith Alexander, <br /> Director of Water Management and Matt Newell, City Engineer. Richard Marley and <br /> Keith Alexander will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: Water main repair costs are$5,813.30 to Barr&Robison and will be <br /> paid from the Water Fund.
