Irons, Director of Neighborhood Services �✓ <br /> Dave Griffiths, Neighborhood Inspections Administrator <br /> SUBIECT: Unsafe Structures <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> An item on the agenda for the meeting of May 17, 2010, is a resolution authorizing action regarding <br /> unsafe structures. This is the second step, after the posting of a structure as unfit, which initiates the <br /> demolition process. City staff recommends approval. <br /> 251 S. Calhoun-NSI#200900561. This case was started on 2-19-09 and unable to be resolved with a <br /> regular housing case. Minnie L. Grandberry, now deceased with no will or probate, is named as the <br /> owner in the case. The water service was terminated in May of 2005,the gas meter and the electric <br /> meter have been removed. The house was found to be standing open and abandoned and in a severe <br /> state of deterioration. The house is partially stripped and has had extensive vandalism. Roof leaks are <br /> causing interior ceilings to collapse and there is mold throughout. <br /> 1038 N. Church-NSI#200902838. This case was started on 11-6-09. Johnnie J. Rolle,Jr., is named as the <br /> owner in the case. The water service was terminated in March of 2008 and the gas and electric meters <br /> have been locked off. The house was found to be standing open and abandoned and in a severe state of <br /> deterioration due to being stripped and vandalized. Roof leaks are causing interior ceilings to collapse <br /> and there is extensive mold throughout. <br /> 1046 N. Church-NSI#201000360. This case was started on 2-17-10. Johnnie Rolle is named as the <br /> owner in the case. The water service was terminated in June of 2008,the gas meter has been locked off i <br /> and the electric meter has been removed. Items of value have been stripped from the house and there <br /> has been extensive vandalism. Electrical wiring,water heater, duct work, etc. have been removed. <br /> 1318 N. College-NSI#201000139. This case was started on 1-19-10. Joyce E. Puckett is named as the <br /> owner in the case. The water service was terminated in November of 2004 and the gas and electric <br /> meters have been removed. There are open holes in the roof and walls with extensive fire damage <br /> throughout that has also caused structural deterioration. <br />
