The project was <br /> advertised in the Decatur Hei•ald and Review on March 10 and March 11,2010. Notices of the bidding with plans and <br /> specifications were sent to five plar.houses around the state. <br /> There were three bidders. A copy of the tabulation of bids is attached. The low bidder was Burdick Plumbing and <br /> Heating of Decatt�r, Illinois with a bid of$423,598.00. The Engineer's estimate was $409,291.00. The low bid was <br /> 3.5% over tlie estimate: On both Davis=Houk's and Hoen's bids there were minor mathematical errors but they did <br /> not affect the outcome. Those errors were corrected on the Bid Tabulatioii. <br /> The City has not secured all the easements and the railroad permit. They believe they will have them in the near <br /> future. <br /> Burdick Plumbing and Heating has worked for the Sanitary Dis�•ict or. many projects and has built several of the <br /> District's pumping stations. ihe bids were responsive to the advertisement ar.d .there were no irt-egularities.
