3. Insurancc Requirements <br /> The ENGINEER shall procure and maintain, at its expense, insurance of the types and in the <br /> minimum amounts stated below: <br /> a. Workman's Compensation Insurance in full compliance with the Workman's <br /> Compensation Act and Employers Liability coverage of not less than as defined by <br /> Illinois State Statutes. <br /> b. Comprehensive General Liability <br /> Bodily Injury $250,000/500,000 each occurrence <br /> Property Damage $250,000 each occurrence or <br /> $500,000 Sin�le Limit Liabiliry <br /> c. Comprehensive Automobile Liability <br /> Bodily Injury $250,000 single per occurrence <br /> Including Death$500,000 two or more,per occurrence <br /> Property Damage $100,000 each occurrence <br /> d. Architects&Engineers <br /> Professional Liability $1,000,000 <br /> e. Umbrella over above <br /> Items b and c $1,000,000 <br /> The Comprehensive General Liability policy shall include blanket contractual liability coverage or a <br /> contractual liability endorsement covering the liability assumed by the ENGINEER under this <br /> AGREEMENT, with limits not less than those specified herein. Certificates furnished hereunder shall <br /> reflect such coverage. <br /> Insurance shall be written by a company or companies satisfactory to the SDD. Before <br /> commencing any work hereunder,a certificate evidencing that maintenance of said insurance <br /> shall be furnished to the SDD. <br /> Policies for Items b &c above inust name the SDD and the City of Decatur as an additional <br /> insured during the life of this AGREEMENT. <br /> 4. Standard of Care <br /> That they have the skills and expertise, and the necessary trained personnel available for the <br /> performance of the duties for which it is hired, and it agrees that in the event of a dispute with the <br /> SDD,the ENGIN��R'S performance of all duties under the Agreement shall be judged by a <br /> standard of care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of the same profession currently <br /> practicing under similar circumstances. <br /> BGM 08-071 C Page 3 <br />
