Marley, P.E., Director of Public Works -7 /') <br /> C C.�-t.,![� <br /> SUBJECT: Lincoln Park Drive Slo e Failure Re air Ci Pro'ect 08-12 � <br /> p P � tY J <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council approve the attached resolution awarding the contract for <br /> Lincoln Park Drive Slope Failure Repair, City Project 08-12, to Entler Excavating, Inc., as the <br /> lowest, responsible bidder in the amount of$291,689.60, and that the Mayor be authorized to <br /> execute the contract and the City Clerk to attest. <br /> Staffalso recommends that the City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing an <br /> amendment to the contract with SKS Engineers, Inc. for City Project 08-12 in the amount of$7,595, <br /> and that the Mayor be authorized to execute the contract amendment, and the City Clerk to attest. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> • June 16, 2008—The City Council was informed of the slope failure with a"Green Sheet <br /> Memo" <br /> • October 20, 2008—The City Council tabled a resolution to authorize an agreement with <br /> SKS Engineers to design the work to repair the slope failure on Lincoln Park Drive pending <br /> an agreement with the Decatur Park District to participate in the repair. <br /> • November 3, 2008—The City Council tabled a resolution to authorize an agreement with <br /> SKS Engineers to design the work to repair the slope failure on Lincoln Park Drive pending <br /> an agreement with the Decatur Park District to participate in the repair. <br /> • November 17, 2008—The City Council tabled a resolution to authorize an agreement with <br /> SKS Engineers to design the work to repair the slope failure on Lincoln Park Drive pending <br /> an agreement with the Decatur Park District to participate in the repair. <br /> • December 1, 2008—The City Council approved Resolution R2008-221 authorizing an <br /> agreement with SKS Engineers for the design of the Lincoln Park Drive Slope Failure <br /> Repair. Council was notified that an informal agreement had been reached with the Decatur <br /> Park District to share in the engineering costs and provide up to $50,000 toward the slope <br /> repair. <br /> • July 6, 2008—The City Council approved Resolution R2009-12 rejecting the bids for the <br /> Lincoln Park Drive Slope Failure Repair. <br /> Page � 1 <br />
