3. Revise Plans, Specifications and Estimates ($10,500)—Hanson will revise bidding documents, plans and estimates to reflect the change in the bid dates, and the installation of the cylinders. Hanson will review the status of the existing environmental permits. Hanson will also update and expand the list of plan room locations to provide a wider range of contractors to bid the project. Due to the anticipated early start in 2010 staff expects all work can still be completed by 2011. The overall two year project is expected to approach a total cost of$4 million. The work will include the following: 2010 Construction The dam rehabilitation project is to begin in 2010. This work will include: 1. Repairs to the upstream face of the dam, 2. Rehabilitation of the mechanical systems that raise and lower the sluice gates on the north side of the dam. 3. Replacing the seal systems for the bascule gates and sluice gates. 4. Removal of gate heaters along the bascule gates. 5. Installation of a concrete patch on the downstream spillway of the dam. 6. Replace all eight cylinders on the bascule gates of the dam. The estimated total project cost is $2.5 million. 2011 Construction The dam rehabilitation project to be constructed summer of 2011 is expected to include: 1. Evaluation of the 2010 test patch and patching the full downstream spillway. 2. Grout crack injection of the dam to reduce water infiltration through the dam. 3. Repair of downstream scour damage below the dam. Page � 3
