Director of EUD/Neighborhood Outreach Mngr� <br /> SUBJECT: Sub recipient Agreement for pove, Inc. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached sub recipient <br /> agreement with the Dove, Inc. for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing <br /> Program (HPRP) activities. The amount allocated is $622,144. Activities include but <br /> are not limited to: assistance in housing stabilization, provide financial assistance and/or <br /> services to help households gain housing stability, provide temporary assistance as a <br /> bridge to long term stability, serve person who are homeless or would be homeless if not <br /> for this assistance, and serve person who can remain housed after the temporary <br /> assistance ends. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Neighborhood Development Division has prepared a sub <br /> recipient agreement which will provide funds for the HPRP activities. Copies of the <br /> agreement are attached for your review. A request for proposal was advertised in <br /> September 2009 in the Decatur Herald & Review and on the City of Decatur's website. <br /> There was ONE respondent. Dove, Inc. is a non-for-profit entity that addresses issues <br /> with homeless residents. They are also the lead agency for Homeward Bound, a <br /> transitional housing program of which the City of Decatur is a partner. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Additional questions can be forwarded to Richelle D.
