McCrady, City Manager <br /> Greg C. Crowe, Assistant City Manag� <br /> SUBJECT: Professional Services Agreement with PSA <br /> RECOMMENDED COURSE OF ACTION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution <br /> authorizing the Professional Services Agreement with PSA in the amount of $35,000 to study two <br /> police facility options. <br /> BACKGROUND: PSA last year conducted a police space needs analysis for the City and developed a <br /> new facility option on the LEC Campus. This agreement will further their services by analyzing and , <br /> developing two additional facility options: ' <br /> 1) The Millikin Building and City Parking Garage C: PSA will conduct a building evaluation �� <br /> and systems overview by an architect, structural engineer and general mechanical and electrical <br /> engineer of the Millikin Building for both office and evidence space. Partial use of the Parking <br /> Garage for evidence space will also be evaluated. After the evaluation stage, PSA will develop <br /> concept diagrams for this option along with cost estimates. <br /> 2) Wabash Crossing Site: PSA will conduct a site evaluation by a civil engineer of the green <br /> space. After the evaluation stage, PSA will develop concept diagrams for this option along <br /> with cost estimates. <br /> The timeline for all services provided is anticipated to take eight weeks. The final report will provide <br /> Council the two additional facility concept diagrams with cost estimates that can be reviewed along <br /> with the previous new facility option on the LEC Campus. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Greg Crowe at 424-2727 or at <br /> gcrowe @ decaturil.gov. <br />
