Proposai No. R1-08-192 <br /> Dear Mr. Newell: <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to the City of Decatur in your efforts to <br /> preserve and maintain your parking structures. As requested we are submitting the following <br /> fee proposal for a Condition Assessment of Garages B 8� C. <br /> PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> The City of Decatur currently owns two parking garages; both of which will be included in this <br /> project. <br /> Garage B-4 Level, Cast-In-Place Concrete, Northwest Corner of North St./Water St. <br /> Garage C - 2 Level, Steel Frame w/ Concrete Deck, Northeast Corner of Franklin St./Wood St. <br /> At this time the City requires a thorough assessment of the condition of these structures and <br /> recommendations for needed repairs and/or improvements. <br /> PROJECT APPROACH <br /> In order to provide the desired condition assessment and repair recommendations, we <br /> propose to conduct a visual review of the structures along with some nondestructive and <br /> destructive testing of the concrete. We will quantify the presence of existing deterioration to <br /> structural members and waterproofing components along with the other components of each <br /> garage.
