Marley, P.E., Public Works Director �Yj Y'R� � <br /> SUBJECT: Agreement wit6 URS Corporation to Design a Lighting Change Order for <br /> the Eldorado Street Enhancement Project, City Project 06-25 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staffthat the City Council authorize an agreement with URS Corporation <br /> to design street lighting improvements to be included as a change order to the Eldorado <br /> Streetscape Project. The Resolution authorizes the Mayor to execute the Agreement with URS <br /> in the amount of$5,800 for design services. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Prior Council Action <br /> February 5, 2007—Council approved Resolution R2007-16 authorizing the City to enter into an <br /> agreement with the State of Illinois for the Eldorado Street Enhancement Project and to <br /> appropriate funds to pay$155,000 for phase I preliminary engineering. <br /> February 5, 2007—Council approved Resolution R2007-17 approving an agreement with URS <br /> Corporation in the amount of$154,705.74 for phase I preliminary engineering on the Eldorado <br /> Street Enhancement Project. <br /> May 19, 2008— Council approved Resolutions R2008-72 and R2008-73 approving a <br /> supplemental agreement with the State of Illinois and URS Corporation in the amount of <br /> $292,327.60 for the phase II final design of the Eldorado Street Enhancement Project. <br /> June 30, 2008—Staff sent a"Green Sheet Memo"to invite Council Members to a Public <br /> Information Meeting to discuss the Eldorado Street Enhancement Project. The meeting was held <br /> in the Civic Center, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2008. <br /> November 3, 2008—In study session, staff updated the City Council on the status of the <br /> Eldorado Street Enhancement Project including project designs and estimate. <br /> February 2, 2009 - In study session, staff updated the City Council on the status of the Eldorado <br /> Street Enhancement Project including project schedule, current project status, current work I <br /> activity and current cost estimate.
