�. . <br /> , . , <br /> ! <br /> DEMONSTRATION PROJECT AGREEMENT <br /> WEED CONTROL AND MAINTENANCE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR PLOTS AND PLANTERS <br /> �� This DEMONSTRATION PROJECT AGREEMENT, made this " day of <br /> ��"`� , 2009, between the City of Decatur, Illinois (CITY), and Macon Resources, <br /> Inc., ( RI), collectively referred to herein as the Parties, WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, CITY requires weeding and maintenance services at approximately <br /> 19 CITY Plots and Planters locations, and <br /> WHEREAS, MRI is a not for profit corporation whose mission is to promote the <br /> growth, independence and self worth of persons with disabilities through adult <br /> vocational training and employment programs, and <br /> WHEREAS, MRI has proposed to provide a "turnkey solution" to CITY'S need for <br /> weeding and maintenance services for its garden plots and planters, and <br /> WHEREAS, CITY wishes to conduct a demonstration project utilizing MRI's <br /> services, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, In consideration of the recitals set forth above and other <br /> good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the <br /> parties agree as follows: <br /> 1. The services rendered pursuant to this AGREEMENT shall include furnishing <br /> labor, material, equipment, and transportation necessary for litter pick-up, <br /> weeding, and general maintenance of approximately 19 CITY plots and <br /> planters, as more fully described in the Macon Resources Inc. 2009 SERVICE <br /> SCHEDULE, LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFICATION KEY MAP, LANDSCAPE <br /> PLANTING BED INDEX and accompanying aerial photographs, attached <br /> hereto and incorporated by reference. <br /> 2. MRI Shall provide a 3-person work crew, consisting of 1 supervisor and 2 <br /> workers from its job training program. Crews shall provide services according <br /> to the 2009 Service Schedule, attached hereto and incorporated by reference. <br /> The parties anticipate some flexibility in scheduling as may in the CITY'S <br /> discretion be necessary to respond to storm damage, vandalism, and other <br /> unanticipated occurrences. In addition, MRI will provide tools, appropriate <br /> safety gear, plastic garbage bags, and recyclable paper lawn refuse bags, and <br /> transportation to and from each work site. <br /> 3. MRI shall provide 120 person hours per week in the performance of this <br /> AGREEMENT. <br /> 1 <br />
