Johnston, Manager, MIS Divisio <br /> SUBJECT: Annual Renewal, IBM D62 Passpo�t Advantage Maintenance Agreement <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve the attached <br /> resolution, authorizing the City Manager to execute a purchase agreement for IBM D62 Passport <br /> Advantage Maintenance Agreement. <br /> BACKGROUND: The IBM D62 database is the underlying relational database management <br /> system for the majority of the city's in-house developed software systems, to include Geographic <br /> Information, Police Reporting and Investigations, Work Orders, Code Enforcement, Payroll Time <br /> Entry, and Building Inspections/Permitting Systems, among many others. Renewal of the annual <br /> license and support agreement provides for continued use of the product, free version upgrades <br /> for the duration of the Agreement, and access to IBM support resources and personnel for <br /> problem resolution. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTORS: None anticipated. , <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: David S. Johnston, MIS Manager(424-2703) <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The $6,566.00 will be paid from the MIS Operations Fund, <br /> reimbursed on a pro rata basis from other funds, and is provided for in the approved FY 2008- <br /> 2009 budget. <br /> 1 Attachments <br />
