McCrady, City Manager <br /> Ron Neufeld, Finance Director <br /> SUBJECT: Supplemental Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 <br /> Attached are eleven supplemental appropriations for fiscal year 2008-2009, for funding <br /> received or required after passage of the Appropriation Ordinance, approved July 31, <br /> 2008. End of year supplemental appropriations are necessary to take care of many issues <br /> that cannot be foreseen. <br /> • General Fund — Fund 10 — This ordinance re-appropriates $742,000 from the ' <br /> Non-Departmental budget to various departments within the General Fund, � <br /> because of the retroactive pay increases given in FY09 that were not specifically I' <br /> budgeted within the departments, but was included in Non-Departmental. This <br /> is a net zero increase within the General Fund. <br /> • Wabash Crossing TIF — Fund 21 - This ordinance appropriates an additional <br /> $14,500 to operating expenses to be used to reimburse other taxing districts and <br /> the balance to be transferred to Debt Service Fund. <br /> • Radio Communications Fund—Fund 30 - This ordinance appropriates $600,000 <br /> for expenses related to the Starcom Radio System. $100,000 went toward the <br /> City portion and $500,000 was a pass through of ESTB funds. The City <br /> received a check from ESTB to cover their portion. <br /> • Fire Pro�rams Fund — Fund 31 — This ordinance appropriates $40,000 for <br /> operating expenses. $15,000 of additional funds were received from the <br /> Foreign Fire Insurance Fund and $25,000 of additional funds were received in <br /> the Special Operations revenue line item. These monies will be used for fire <br /> station improvements and expenses related to Special Operations. <br /> • Municipal Band — Fund 36 — This ordinance appropriates an additional $5,000 <br /> for operating expenses in the Municipal Band Fund, to pay performers, replace <br /> small capital equipment and shirts for the performers. <br />
