Excerpts from Plan Commission Minutes of March 5,2009 continued: <br /> Mr. Steve John asked the difference between a PD Planned Development and an Institutional <br />' Overlay (IOL) District. Ms. Stickle briefly explained the difference and stated she was not sure <br /> why St. Mary's Hospital was a PD and Decatur Memorial Hospital was in an IOL. <br /> Mr. Adam Cumbo, Chief Financial Officer for St. May's Hospital, was sworn in by Mrs. Poland. <br /> Mr. Cumbo stated the hospital was requesting the amendment to the PD to expand consistent <br /> with the earlier renditions which were brought to the Plan Commission last fall. The expansion <br /> will be anchored by the two (2) story building which will house the new emergency department. <br /> Mr. Steve John asked Mr. Cumbo if the hospital ever questioned if they would be better served if <br /> they were in an Institutional Overlay District. Mr. Cumbo stated the question has never come <br /> up. <br /> There were no obj ectors present. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Livingston/John) to forward Cal. No. 09-12 to the City Council <br /> with recommendation for approval as presented by staff. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
