Mr. Thares stated Primrose Management has 14 or 15 senior comm ities in 7 states at this time. <br /> This is the first one in Illinois. Primrose is about providing a hap y and healthy lifestyle for <br /> seniors. The two story complex is made up of independent living an assisted living units. The <br /> social commons area will have dining areas, a kitchen area where th meals are prepared, an ice <br /> cream parlor, a full movie theatre, a library, a pub, a pool hall, a ellness/fitness center and a <br /> bible study chapel. There are planned activities everyday for the r sidents of this community. <br /> The average age today for their residents is 82. The units for indepe ent living are in the $2000 <br /> a month range and assisted living is in the $3000 a month range. <br /> Mr. John Mickler asked if there were any security measures in pl ce. Mr. Thares stated the <br /> facility is staffed 24 hours a day. The doors are locked and secured night. They do not have a <br /> security staff. <br /> Mr. Mickler asked if it was a gated community. Mr. Thares responde no. <br /> Mr. Mickler asked if there were security cameras. Mr. Thares sai there will be cameras and <br /> also door alarms. <br /> Mr. Cochran added that staff requested a five (5) foot sidewalk e added to the plans and <br /> Primrose agreed to this change. <br /> Mr. John McLaughlin who resides adjacent to the Primrose site, aske who would be responsible <br /> for maintaining the right-of-way and if the flooding that occurs on t e parcel will be taken care <br /> of. Mr. Cochran stated that a dry storm water retention pond will b on the site. He also stated <br /> that the property owner maintains the right-of-way as per City Ordin ce. <br /> There were no objectors present. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Dunn/Mickler) to forwazd Cal. No. 07- 1 to the City Council with <br /> recommendation for approval as presented. Motion carried unanimo sly. <br />
