S ckle, Senior PlannerSf1.� <br /> Joselyn A. tewart, Transportation PlannerC� <br /> � <br /> SUBJECT: Vacate Public Right-of-Way of the 2400 Block of East illikin Parkway <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval o petition to vacate the public <br /> right-of-way as indicated on the plat. The City Plan Commission vote 7-0 to recommend approval <br /> of this petition at the March 1, 2007 meeting; the minutes of the meetin are attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: The petitioner is requesting vacating public right- f-way in the 2400 Block of <br /> East Millikin Parkway. The vacation will enable the petitioner to nce in its entire site. The <br /> petitioner does not currently own all of the property adjacent to the rig t-of-way but has notified the <br /> abutting property owner. They have no interest in the south 30 feet of the 60 foot right-of-way <br /> vacation. <br /> Letters were sent to AmerenIP, Insight Communications and AT&T n tifying the utility companies <br /> of the vacation request. An easement will be reserved for utility access. <br /> An appraisal was submitted by the petitioner with an estimated ma ket value of $3,500.00. A <br /> second appraisal was obtained by the City with an estimated mark t value of $2,800.00. The <br /> petitioner will pay the City of Decatur$3,500.00 for the vacated right-o -way. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There were no known objectors at the P an Commission Meeting. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded t Joselyn A.
