Currently, in accordance with State law, unless otherwise prohibited,j City streets allow access for <br /> trucks up to 73,280 lbs. in weight distributed over 5 axles. Designa ion as a Class II truck route <br /> increases the allowable weight to 80,000 lbs. along with some size inc eases to the truck. There are <br /> no Class I or Class III truck routes on roads controlled by the City. <br /> In reviewing the City's map and comparing it with the various truck route designation ardinances <br /> enacted over the years, some problems were noted and ordinances wer not able to be located for <br /> some streets. The following streets have been identified as needing or inances to maintain Class II <br /> designation or as no longer needing the designation. �, i <br /> Designate: <br /> 23rd Street between Logan and Gar aelcl: 23Td Street was misspelled�,as 22°d Street on the 1990 <br /> ordinance. This route uses Logan Street and 23ra Street to access Garf�eld for north bound 22°d , <br /> Street. ' <br /> Hubbard Avenue between 27`h Street and IL Route 48: This portion�f the newly constructed � <br /> Hubbard Avenue extension was left off the ordinance.
