The. Plan Commission in its adYisory role to the Cit Council-is to make <br /> recommendation to approve, modify or deny petitions bas d on the requirements <br /> of the Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan. In rezoning petitions, <br /> - effects of the approved land uses for the proposed zonin district on the public <br /> health safety and general welfare of the City and its citizens need to be <br /> considered. <br /> 2. Section XXIX. Requires the Plan Commission to hold public hearing on a <br /> rezoning request, and then forward its report and reco endation to the City <br /> Council for final approval.
