Excerpts of City Plan Commission September7, 2006
Cal. No. 06-57 Petition of DAVID AND NI A PHILLIPS;
EASTER JOHNSON; AND VIN BENNETT
, to rezone premises commoni known as 2143,
2151, and 2159 East Wood S reet from B-2
Commercial District to R-3 S'ngle Family
Residence District.
, Mr. Mark Smith was sworn in by Ms. Jesse.
Mr. Mark Smith presented the recommendation of staff:
' The subject petition requests that the properties in question be rez ned from B-2
' Commercial District to the R-3 Single Family Residential District. There are three (3)
properties at issue and three petitions were filed. They have since een combined into
one petition. Each tract is improved with a single family residenc . T e area north, west and
south contained improved small lots with single family residence . There is no
information in the files that would indicate the reason the subject esidences are zoned
commercial. The R-3 Single Family Residence zoning requested 's consistent with
nearby properties on three sides. i
Based on the above analysis, staff recommends approval of the re oning from B-2 II
Commercial District to R-3 Single Family Residence District. I,
The Plan Commission, in its advisory role to the City Council, m y make a '
recommendation to approve the request to rezone the property fro B-2 Commercial
District to R-3 Single Family Residence District or to recommend to the City Council that
the petition be denied.
