The 25 acre site formerly housed the corporate offices for Illinois Power and contains a <br /> 146,864 square foot three-story office building, a 700 square foot service garage and a <br /> multiple-vehicle carport. <br /> 2. The site is currently zoned M-1 Intense Commerical-Light Industrial District and was used as <br /> offices and vehicle maintenance and storage for the former Illinois Power Company. The site <br /> also served as a fueling station for the Illinois Power fleet of cars. <br /> 3. The current M-1 zoning does not allow a church as a use. The petitioner requested that the <br /> site be rezoned to B-2. Staff believes that B-2 is too intense for the surrounding residential <br /> area and suggested the site be rezoned to PD with limited uses. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> 1. Glad Tiding Assembly of God is proposing to purchase the site to use as the church site and a <br /> multitude of other uses. Some of the other uses could include a restaurant, a convenience , <br />
