Section XXII.A.2. requires the Plan Commission to hold a public hearing on a <br /> rezoning/conditional use request, and then forward its report and recommendation to the <br /> City Council for final approval. A motion to forward Calendar Number 06-22 to the City <br /> Council with a recommendation for approval is suggested. <br /> Mr. Nordholm questioned whether it was the Plan Commission's place to get into state <br /> licensing. Ms. Miller stated on a conditional use petmit for a daycare the ordinance states <br /> to follow the states requirements for licensing a day care facility. <br /> Mrs. Sadorus questioned whether there is an existing daycare facility located there now. <br />' Ms. Miller stated there was not. Mrs. Sadorus questioned whether a notice was sent to <br /> neighbors stating what the plans were. Ms. Miller stated letters are not sent and signs <br /> were posted. <br /> Ms. Robin Frazier, petitioner,was sworn in by Ms. Jesse. <br /> Ms. Frazier stated a daycare facility had been there ten(10)years ago and was run by her <br /> mother. Ms. Frazier stated at that time there were normally eight(8) children at her <br /> mother's daycare. Ms. Frazier stated she has applied to the state for her license and has <br /> started preparing her home for the facility. <br /> There were no obj ectors present. <br /> It was moved and seconded(Tom Smith/John)to forward Cal.No. 06-22 to the City <br /> Council with the recommendation for approval as submitted by the petitioner. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />
