T'he proposed development is consistent with the goals of the original Planned Shopping Center and <br /> the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Based on the above analysis, staff recommends approval of the B-3 Planned Shopping Center <br /> District amendment with the following condition: <br /> a. Final site, lighting and landscaping plans for the fueling station shall be submitted to and <br /> approved by the Economic and Urban Development Department and the Department of <br /> Engineering and Infrastructure prior to the issuance of building permits. <br /> PLAN COMMISSION ACTION <br /> 2. The Plan Commission, in its advisory role to the City Council is to make recommendation to <br /> approve, modify or deny petitions based on the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance and the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> 3. Section XIX. requires the Plan Commission to hold a public hearing on a Planned Development <br /> request, and then forward its report and recommendation to the City Council for final approval. A <br /> motion to forward Calendar Number 06-14 to the City Council with a recommendation for <br /> approval is suggested. <br /> The above report constitutes the testimony and recommendation of the Planning and Economic <br /> Development Division, Economic and Urban Development Department, City of Decatur. <br /> Joselyn A.
