2. Articles of incorporation have been filed with the Secretary of State of Illinois. <br /> 3. Funds have been donated to pay initial costs by the County Engineers Association, <br /> American Public Works Association(APWA) Chicago Metro Chapter, and the APWA <br /> Illinois Chapter <br /> 4. The Illinois Terrorism Task Force has recognized IPWMAN as a mutual aid <br /> organization. <br /> 5. At least three other municipalities have approved membership and several are <br /> considering membership during December. <br /> 6. IPWMAN should be publically launched in January 2009 and begin a recruiting effort <br /> throughout Illinois. <br /> 7. The organization's website is being hosted by the City of Decatur, and may be viewed at <br /> www.IPWMAN.or . The website rovides access to all or anization documents. <br /> r � <br />' Frequently Asked Questions: A list of 20 frequently asked questions is transmitted with <br />� this memorandum. <br />, POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to approval of this <br /> agreement. <br />' INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: There has been extensive dialo over the last six <br /> g <br /> months with representatives of several municipalities and counties in Illinois, the Illinois <br /> Emergency Management Agency(IEMA), ILEAS, MABAS, the Illinois Terrorism Task <br /> Force, and the Macon County Emergency Management Agency. � <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard G. Marley, Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, will <br /> be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer questions from Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The annual membership fee for Decatur is $500. If <br /> an emergency event occurs and Decatur responds, the City will be responsible for paying <br /> normal salary and equipment expenses.
