Objectives <br /> The existing network equipment installed at the City of Decatur has reached end of life, and many <br /> components are nearing the end of support dates from the manufacturer. In order to create a more <br /> consistent supportable platform for the business needs of the city, we are presenting this proposal to <br /> replace the network infrastructure with one that is simplified and easier to manage. <br /> We understand the objectives of the Network Upgrade are to: <br /> • Replace the legacy routers at each site with a new layer three switch <br /> • Replace the legacy switching infrastructure at each site with a new switching infrastructure <br /> • Replace the switching infrastructure at the main Civic Center location with one that provides <br /> more bandwidth to the organization <br /> 2. Scope <br /> We understand the scope of Burwood Group's involvement in Network Upgrade to include: <br /> • Audit the existing network configuration in order to create a detailed implementation plan <br /> • Review and provide recommendations for changes to the routing environmer�t <br /> • Configure and deploy new switches to replace the existing infrastructure <br /> • Provide a new network diagram post installation <br /> • Provide one day of administrator training <br /> • As built documentation <br /> Burwood Group understands that the following items are not within the scope of our responsibilities: <br /> • Replacement of the existing wireless bridging infrastructure <br /> • Changes to the existing application environment in support of this change <br /> Any changes to the scope outlined or assistance with other City of Decatur initiatives will require a <br /> separate arrangement.
