TELE
-SCAN, INC.
TELEVISED PIPELINE INSPECTION
6275 East Rt. 36 • Decatur, IL 62521 • 217/864-2940
Broadway Street Sewer
The Broadway Street Sewer is split into finro systems, the upper Broadway and
the lower Broadway. Both systems were not included in the Critical Sewer Study.
The upper Broadway Sewer has been rehabilitated in the last 10 years. TSI has
not been directed as of yet by City Staff to inspect the lower Broadway sewer.
These sewers start in the Grand & Church area and travel south down Martin
Luther King Jr. Dr. to Prairie, then travel southwest along the Illinois Central
Railroad boundaries to sanitary district facilities. These systems vary in size from
28" X 42" Brick to 108" Monolithic Concrete.
Jasper Street Sewer
The Jasper Street Sewer travels from Garfield & Jasper south to North St. then
South West to Prairie St. Varying in size from 15" t0 72" brick and varying in
depth from 8' to 15'. From Eldorado north this system has been rehabilitated in
the last ten years. This sewer was not included in the Critical Sewer Study.
Prairie Street Sewer
The Prairie Street Sewer travels from 19th Street west to Martin Luther King Jr.
Drive for about a mile. This system was rehabilitated with Gunite (sprayed
concrete) in the last 10 years. Approximately 1800 L.F. of this system was
inspected for a street reconstruction project in the last two years. The structural
condition of the pipe noted at that time was good. Both the Manholes and the
pipe were rehabilitated with sprayed concrete negating the need for inclusion
with the Critical Sewer Study.
