ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> Page 1 OF 3 <br /> Reproduction Lincoln Log Cabin and Associated Improvements <br /> Lincoln Trail Homestead Memorial Park <br /> Scope of Services <br /> 11-5-08 <br /> This scope of services is based on the best current understanding by both the City and the <br /> Consultants of services needed to accomplish the project known as Construction of a Reproduction <br /> Lincoln Log Cabin and Associated Improvements at the Lincoln Trail Homestead Memorial Park. <br /> A large portion of the scope involves archaeology and master planning required by the IL <br /> Department of Natural Resources and the IL Historic Preservation Agency which cannot be fully <br /> characterized or quantified. Should these components or others be changed to require substanfial <br /> additional time,the City and Consultants may adjust the scope of services,the associated schedule of <br /> services and the fee schedule. <br /> PHASE 1—ARCHAEOLOGY AND MASTER PLANS <br /> Task 1—Archaeology and Concept Plans <br /> Task 1 is to perform field archaeology to locate if possible the site of the original cabin, develop <br /> a Preliminary Master Plan for the Project Site and devise a Preliminary Master Plan for the entire Park. <br /> The work wtll be presented and discussed at a review meeting and IDNR will review internally. <br /> Field Archaeology <br /> Preliminary Master Plan for the Project Site <br /> Preliminary Master Concept Plan for the Park <br /> Review Meeting— <br /> Consultants,City,IDNR <br /> Review by IDNR <br /> Note: One 2-hour review meeting is anticipated and included in the scope. <br /> Task 2-Preliminary Master Plans <br /> Task 2 involves archaeology of the proposed location of the reproduction cabin and a field <br /> survey for topography and site features. The two master plans will be refined and further developed. <br /> Exact locations, orientations, systems,products and materials wild be identified. Graphics and other <br /> materials will be prepared for the Public Meeting. The work will be presented and discussed at a review <br /> meeting and IDNR will review internally. A public meeting will be held. <br /> Site Archaeology <br /> Concept Plans for Log Cabin <br /> Field Survey <br /> Preliminary Information— <br /> grading and drainage,utilities,security,etc. <br /> Master Plan for the Project Site <br /> Master Concept Plan for the Park <br />
