- - C <br /> Soules. The new Agreement will begin October 1, 2008, and extend through September <br /> 30, 2011. The boundaries of the downtown area remain as per the previous agreement. <br /> Payment is made annually for the year beginning October 1 and ending on September 30 <br /> of the following year. The fee for the first two years of the contract is $15,000 per year, <br /> and $16,000 for the third and final year of service. <br /> The contract with Soules Bird Repellent Company is a sole source contract. City staff <br /> searched for other firms that may provide similar services. While there are firms willing <br />, to sell bird re ellent ui ment, none were found who could rovide bird re ellent <br /> P �1 P P P <br /> services. <br /> This agreement is administered by the City's Department of Engineering & <br /> Infrastructure. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objectors. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Director of Engineering & <br /> Infrastructure, at 424-2747 <br /> The Director of Engineering &Infrastructure, Richard Marley, will be in attendance at the City , <br /> Council meeting to answer questions the City Council may have on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> The funds for the first year of the new agreement are budgeted in the City's General Fund.
