Crowe, Assistant City Manag�j <br /> SUBJECT: Police Department Space Needs Study <br /> RECOMMENDED COURSE OF ACTION: Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution <br /> and letter of services provided by PSA Dewberry. The total contract amount is for $40,000 and <br /> includes a space needs and criteria study as well as master planning options for new construction next <br /> to the Law Enforcement Center and rehabilitation of the current LEC. The scheduled timeline <br /> submitted by PSA Dewberry is seven weeks in total. <br /> BACKGROUND: After the suggestion of hiring PSA to save time was raised by a Councilmember, <br /> City staff began discussions with PSA Dewberry regarding the services they could provide for the <br /> City. The outline that was submitted to City Council was also submitted to PSA Dewberry, who then <br /> submitted their proposal on how to meet those needs. City staff and PSA Dewberry have a tentative <br /> meeting set up for the week of July 21 St to get started on the study immediately. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Greg Crowe at 424-2727 or at <br /> crowe ,decaturil.gov. <br />
