. r ' '
A general outline of the process in completing a sanitary sewer system master plan for Council
information. The tasks proposed to be performed by BGM in support of map preparation are
noted.
The initial preparation of the sewer base map is a critical task in the preparation of an overall
sewer system master plan. Map accuracy, assured by a strong quality control review now, will be
of great benefit as the map is used and improved through the coming decades.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None
STAFF REFERENCE: Richard G Marley, Director of Engineering and
Infrastructure, at 424-2747
Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747.
Richard Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the
Council on this item.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS:
Funding for this project is proposed at $135,000 and is allocated in the Sanitary Sewer Fund in the
Fiscal Year 2009 budget.
The project is intended to be in effect throughout Fiscal Year 2009 although the exact level of
review necessary to assure an accurate map is currently unknown. The requested allocation
represents over 1,500 man hours of technical and professional work being invested in the sewer
mapping process.
Attach: 3
cc: John Smith, Assistant City Manager for Public Services
Aaron Lawson, Assistant City Engineer
Charles Hunsinger, Bainbridge, Gee, Milanski, Inc.
Page2
