RESOLUTION NO. R2008-41 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXCEUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENTS PURSUANT TO <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Council has previously defined Neighborhood Improvements as <br /> a Community Goal as well as approving the formation of the Neighborhood Improvements <br /> Commission and, furthermore, has allocated monies for events, activities, ar programs which <br /> provide benefits to neighborhoods or to the community at large. <br /> Section 2. That the Neighborhood Improvements Commission has recommended a grant <br /> in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) be a.11ocated to the following: <br /> GM Square, Ambassadors For Christ, Neighborhood United Neighborhood Cleanup/Back to <br /> School Bash, Faith Community Educational Institute High School Diploma Program, Old Kings <br /> Orchara Community Center Youth Programs, African American Cultural and Genealogical <br /> Society Juneteenth Celebration, Life Changers Adopt-A-Block Program, Easter Seals <br /> Celebrat,ion Day, Green Light Garden Project, and Committee for St. James Place. <br /> Section 3.
