importantly, the program encourages people to volunteer to support the community. Details of <br /> the program include: <br /> • Applicants could receive up to $5,000 as part of the grant program to fund neighborhood <br /> or community improvement projects, activities, events or programs that benefit <br /> neighborhoods or the community large. <br /> • Grants are based upon a combination of volunteer hours, applicant contributions and city <br /> funds. Applicants must contribute 25% of the grant amount in the form of private funds <br /> or volunteer hours. <br /> Attached please find copies of the recommended applications, final application scores and <br /> commission score sheets. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Potentially applicants whose applications didn't score high <br /> enough to receive funding. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Neighborhood members, members of the Neighborhood <br /> Improvements Commission from the landlords association. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Billy Tyus, 424-2753. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The original funding allocated by the City Council <br /> remains available for the pro�am. <br /> Attachments <br />
