The agreement provides for the City to reimburse Millikin University for up to a maximum of <br /> $24,000 to relocate these signs. <br /> In order for the project to meet the construction schedule, it is essential that an agreement be <br /> entered into between the City and Millikin University to allow the proposed work to proceed. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Economic and Urban Development Department <br /> Blank, Wesselink, Cook and Associates, Inc. <br /> Millikin University <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Director of Engineering & <br />' Infrastructure, at 424-2747 <br /> Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> Richard Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the <br /> Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> The agreement authorizes the construction of portions of the proposed West Main Streetscape <br /> improvement on property owned by Millikin University and authorizes payment of up to $24,001 <br /> for the right to construct and maintain said improvements and relocate two signs on the east side <br /> of Fairview Avenue. <br /> Funding for the expenditures authorized by the proposed agreement will come from the Planning <br /> Fund. <br /> The project is scheduled to be completed during the 2008 construction season. <br /> Attach: 2 <br /> cc: John Smith, Assistant City Manager for Public Services <br /> Dick Borders, Municipal Services Manager <br /> Matt Newell, City Engineer <br /> Aaron Lawson, Assistant City Engineer <br /> Travis Stanley, Civil Engineer I <br /> Blank, Wesselink, Cook &Associates '�, <br /> John Mickler , <br /> James Jackson �'� <br /> Page � 2 , <br />
