Provide for the use of the Inspector a source of water. This can either be a <br /> hydra.nt or hose bib supply. A community fire truck can be provided if it is <br /> desired to reduce the amount of time required for cleaning. <br /> 2. The Owner is not required to provide personnel to climb the tank;however,he is <br /> welcome to do so. A hard hat is required on this employee and any employee on <br /> the ground. DIXON does carry additional safety harnesses which can be used by <br /> the Owner's personnel;however, if the tank contains a fall prevention device,that <br /> device should be used DIXON personnel carry their own personal safety <br /> equipment for that purpose. DIXON will assist the Owner's personnel in <br /> inspecting the exterior of the tank on the balcony and roof. When we inspect the <br /> sway rods on a multi-legged tank,it would take a very experienced climber to <br /> follow us on the struts. (This can be inspected by the Owner from the ground <br /> with binoculazs and items can be pointed out by the inspector.) If there is a <br /> bottom manhole into the wet interior of a sphere or modified single pedestal tank, <br /> or a ladder from the roof manhole,the Owner's personnel will be directed in. If <br /> DIXON is required to rig the tank using their own rope ladder and/or set of block <br /> and tackle for descent through the riser,the Owner's personnel will be advised <br /> against entering the tank because of the physical conditioning necessary for <br /> climbing rope ladders. <br /> 3. By signing this contract, it is understood the Owner's personnel is covered by the <br /> Owner's insurance and is not a responsibility of DIXON's insurance. <br /> 4. Remove from the site all paxaphemalia removed fram the tank by the inspector, <br /> including steel plates,spent cathodic rods,wiring,and mud This is strictly at the <br /> option of the Owner. It is DIXON's policy to remove the items and leave them at <br /> ground level. <br /> 5. Perform bacteriological testing after completion of the inspection. Two(2) ' <br /> consecutive samples aze recommended at 24 hour intervals per AWWA C-652-02 <br /> Chlorination Method No. 3. <br /> 6. Operate the system without the tank i�rservice. This includes operation and <br /> monitoring of pressure relief valves,if necessary. They should be adjusted per , <br /> directions so they aze wasting water at 2 -S lbs. lower than normal pressure. i <br /> -2 - I <br />
