Any deficiencies found will be analyzed <br /> for their affects on the structural integrity of the tank. <br /> Evaluation Report: Engineering reports, certified by an Illinois Registered Professional En- <br /> gineer on our fulltime staff,will be issued for each tank. Our reports will serve as decision- <br /> making documents for the City. The reports will include the information required to allow you to <br /> make informed decisions about tank maintenance and how to meet the short-term and long-term <br /> water system needs. The report will include the following sections: <br /> Observations: The observation section of the report provides dimensions of the tank <br /> and accessories, as well as a narrative description of the condition of each part of the <br /> tank. Sanitary, safety, security, and structural deficiencies found will be described, and an <br /> assessment of the coating condition will be included. <br /> Recommendations: The recommendations section of the report includes repairs and <br /> modifications required to bring the tank into compliance with present AWWA opera- <br /> tional, safety, security, and sanitary standards. When practical, alternative methods of re- <br /> pairs, modifications, and coating/lining will be provided. Advantages and disadvantages <br /> of each alternative will be given so the City can determine their immediate and future <br /> tank maintenance requirements. <br /> Economic Factors: The economic factors section of the report provides budget esti- <br /> mates for all of the repairs, modifications, and coating requirements outlined in the rec- <br /> ommendations section of the report. In addition, the replacement cost of the tank is pro- <br /> vided for cost comparison. <br /> Photo�raphs: The report will contain color photographs individually mounted with <br /> captions adjacent to each photo to explain what is included in the photo. The photo- <br /> graphs serve as additional documentation of the tank's condition. <br /> Narrated Video Recordin�: Tank Industry Consultants will provide a narrated video <br /> of the interior evaluation with the report. <br /> Fees: The fee for the tank evaluations and reports will be: <br /> 7.5 Million Gallon Water Treatment Plant Reservoir $4,675 <br /> 5.0 Million Gallon William Street Reservoir $4,425 <br /> Clear Well $4,585 <br /> If all three tanks can be evaluated in a single mobilization, a discount of 7.5%will be offered. <br /> If the quantity of deposits on the clear well floor is such that cleaning is recommended, Tank In- <br /> dustry Consultants will be pleased to assist in getting those services planned and contracted for. <br /> This additional work, if required, will be authorized in a change order. <br />
