R2007-52 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH <br /> CU TAXI / ILLINI TAXI <br /> WHEREAS, the City and CU Taxi / Illini Taxi entered into an Agreement to provide <br /> paratransit services to people with disabilities under the Transit System's program, "Operation <br /> Uplift", effective as of June l, 2005, with an expiration date of May 31, 2007; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement specifies that "This Agreement may be extended at the sole <br /> discretion of the City for three (3) additional one (1) year terms (option years)"; and <br /> WHEREAS, CU Taxi / Illini Taxi has proposed fares to be charged to Operation Uplift <br /> participants during the first option year, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and CU Taxi / Illini Taxi desire to extend the term of the <br /> Agreement to May 31, 2008. <br /> BE I"I' RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> II_LINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Amendment to the Agreement presented to the Council herewith <br /> between the City of Decatur and CU Taxi / Illini Taxi be, and the same is hereby, received, <br /> placed on file and approved. <br /> Section 2.
