Nir. Greg Crowe
February 1, 2007
Page 2
panels, by itself, this may result in a slight color deviation which can be made more noticeable by the
difference in texture and substrate. As a result of this. if budget allows, I would recommend rejecting
Alternate 8id Number 1.
The same considerations appiy with Alternate Bid Number 2. From a systems perspective, less
coordination is required between trades for the factory constructed, tested and warranteed Alternate
Bid spire than is required for the Base Bid spire. Similarly, the alternate bid spire utilizes black
anodized aluminum components in lieu of painted galvanized steel components, which should he►p to
reduce maintenance on the unit by eliminating painting. From an aesthetic standpoint, There is no
appreciable difference between the units. As a result of this, and particularly given Otto Baum's zero-
cost Alternate Bid, I would recommend accepting Altemate Bid Number 2.
if you have any further qestions or need any additional information, please don't hesitate to contaci
me at your convenience.
Respectfully,
FARNSWORTH GROUP, INC
,.. ",,_.._,_

John E.
