. 3. To retain the firm of Massie Massie & Associates to provide Land Planning and Landscape Architecture services for the proposed project. Said services to be as detailed in their attached Scope of Services dated February 14, 2007 4. To prepare detailed design plans for the following improvements: A. Water Street— between North Street and North Park Street (i) Provide a plan to restore 2-way traffic to the street (ii) Prepare a new sidewalk plan with landscape areas consistent with Massie Massie schemes. Sidewalk plan to be on the West side of Water Street from North Street to East Prairie Street, all sidewalks adjacent to the Dansig project to be included in their project. (iii) To modify the existing utilities to meet the new street scape plan. (iiii) To prepare street lighting plans consistent with the Massie Massie plan and with the City of Decatur Standards for street lighting materials and bases. B. State Street—the repaving and restriping of the street in the areas outside of the limits of the Dansig project area. C. Prepare demolition bid documents for the demolition of two buildings on the West side of North Water Street (Buildings commonly known as the Samuels Miller Building and the Muerlot Building). D. To prepare a "Plaza Area" plan for a pedestrian passageway at approximately the mid block area on the West side of North Water Street. This passageway area will ultimately connect North Main Street developments to North Water Street developments for both pedestrian movements and provide a visual site connection between the two streets. E. To coordinate and attend staff meetings, Public information meetings, City Council meetings and meetings with the private developer and/or his consultants if requested. F. To complete all plan work by August 1, 2007 in order to meet a bid schedule of September 1, 2007.
