ANDERSON PLAZA <br /> DECATUR, IL 62523 <br /> DATE: APRIL 14, 2011 <br /> RE: TERMINATION OF ANIMAL CONTROL AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, on January 22, 2007, the County of Macon, Illinois, and the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois, entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement regarding an Animal <br /> Control Program(the "Agreement"). <br /> WHEREAS, Section 9 of the Agreement provides that the Agreement is to "continue <br /> in effect until July 31, 2011, or until sooner terminated as provided herein. Unless <br /> terminated at the conclusion of a term as provided herein, this Agreement shall <br /> automatically renew for another successive year." <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Macon desires to terminate the Agreement effective July <br /> 31, 2011, and further to negotiate a new agreement with the City of Decatur. <br /> WHEREAS, on April 14, 2011, the Macon County Board passed a resolution <br /> requesting and authorizing the Chairman of the County Board exercise the County's right <br /> to terminate said Agreement. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE ADVISED that pursuant to the provisions of the above <br /> referred Agreement, the County of Macon, Illinois, elects and hereby notifies the City of <br /> Decatur that the said Agreement shall terminate effective July 31, 2011. <br /> COUNTY OF MACON, ILLINOIS <br /> By: l/i � � ..�-c�v.�-�., <br /> ay .
