Phase 1 of the Project is a study to develop and <br /> evaluate various alternatives to optimize and improve existing facilities at the DeWitt <br /> well field. If authorized by Owner, Phase 2 will include Design, Construction Contract <br /> Documents, Bid and Preconstruction Services for proposed improvements. Phase 3A will <br /> include Prebid Services and Phase 3B will include Construction Phase Services. Work <br /> under Phase 1 will start on execution of this Task Order No. 10. Work under successive <br /> phases will not begin without Owner's written authorization. The scope of services for <br /> Phase 1 is presented below. <br /> PHASE 1. STUDY PHASE SERVICES <br /> Engineer shall perform the services described below to develop and evaluate alternative <br /> im rovements for o timization of the DeWitt well field. <br /> P p <br /> Conceptual level cost estimates shall be developed using vendor quotes from equipment <br /> suppliers, a percentage allowance for equipment installation, and a percentage allowance <br /> of up to 50 percent for omissions and contingencies. <br /> Investigative methods will be limited to "desktop"analysis using pre-existing data to be <br /> provided by Owner. <br /> A. Mechanical Systems <br /> 1. Perform a cursory inspection of existing facilities at the DeWitt well field (2 <br /> to 4 hours), review the current condition and performance of the existing <br /> pumping equipment with Owner, and provide an opinion about the <br /> approximate remaining useful service life for the type of pumping equipment <br /> currently being used for the existing well pumps. <br /> 2.
