2. Investigate and recommend the degree and method of treatment that is needed <br /> for the raw well water, if any,to satisfy the requirements of the NPDES permit <br /> for discharge into Friends Creek. Evaluate the treatment benefits, if any, <br /> provided by the existing settling lagoon at the DeWitt well field, for the <br /> removal of iron or other undesirable constituents. Recommend other possible <br /> methods of treatrnent for the raw well water prior to discharge into Friends <br /> Creek, if needed, for compliance with the NPDES permit. <br /> E. Existing Diesel Powered Engines and Long Term Electric Power Supply <br /> 1. Investigate the new facilities that would be required to provide electric pumps and <br /> an electric power supply for the DeWitt well field. <br /> 2. Provide conceptual level cost estimates for the initial capital and life cycle costs <br /> for electric pumps and an electric power supply for the DeWitt well field. <br /> F. Report <br /> Engineer sha11 prepare a report summarizing the findings and recommendations resulting <br /> from the investigations. Five draft copies of the report will be provided for Owner's <br /> review. Engineer will receive Owner's review comments for the draft report,revise the <br /> report as appropriate, and provide ten copies of the final report. <br /> PHASE lA. SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES <br /> A. Any work requested by Owner that is not included in one of the items listed in any <br /> other phase will be classified as supplemental services. <br /> B. Supplemental services sha11 include,but are not limited to: <br /> 1. Collection of additional data beyond that which is currently available from <br /> Owner. <br /> 2. Additional meetings with local, State, or Federal agencies to discuss the <br /> project. <br /> 3. Additional appearances at public hearings or before special boards. <br /> 4.
