Br Assistant City Managef� <br /> ys� <br /> � <br /> SUBJECT: Professional Services Agreement—LEC Options Analysis <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached <br /> agreement with Blank, Wesselink, Cook & Associates to prepare up to three (3) police <br /> department feasibility analyses. The proposed professional services will not exceed <br /> $10,000. <br /> BACKGROUND: As the options for relocating the Law Enforcement Center have <br /> evolved, some options have become more readily apparent. City staff seeks professional <br /> assistance from BWC to evaluate two known options further: 1) the Franklin Mall site <br /> and 2) expansion of the current LEC facility. The proposed contract includes a third <br /> study area that has not yet been determined. <br /> The contract provides for BWC to provide concept analysis of building size and layout, <br /> parking analysis, utilities and site preparation requirements and preliminary cost <br /> estimates for each selected site. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: N/A. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: N/A. ; <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Dane Bragg at I�� <br /> 424-2727 or dbrag�(��decaturnet.org.
