; , � <br /> For the purposes of this Project, Bodine has assumed that up to twenty four(24) soil <br /> samples will be analyzed for the petroleum indicator compounds associated with the <br /> USTs and eight (8) samples will be analyzed for TAL/TCL. To adequately evaluate the <br /> exposure pathways under the Illinois EPA Tiered Approach to Corrective Action <br /> Objectives (TACO) regulations, up to three samples may be collected from each boring. <br /> One soil sample should be collected from the 0 to 3 fbgs interval to evaluate the soil <br /> ingestion pathway. One sample should be collected from the 3 to 10 fbgs interval to <br /> evaluate the inhalation pathway. An additional sample may be collected at the interval <br /> indicating the highest PID reading and/or the apparent elevation of the groundwater, the <br /> interface between the saturated and vadose zone. <br /> The Project includes the installation of up to six (6) monitoring wells to assess the <br /> following specific data quality objectives: <br /> 1. Preferential contaminant migration pathways (sand lenses, utility corridors <br /> and other subterranean features). <br /> 2. Measure and monitor groundwater elevations to determine flow direction and <br /> gradient. <br /> 3. Collection of groundwater samples for laboratory analysis. <br /> 4. Upgradient or background groundwater quality related to the petroleum <br /> indicator compounds. <br /> 5. Performance of hydraulic conductivity testing to determine the classification <br /> of groundwater under 35 IAC 620. <br /> Only initial monitoring well installation, development and groundwater sample collection <br /> activities have been included in the Project. Laboratory analysis of up to 6 groundwater <br /> samples for BTEX, PAHs and Lead has been included in the scope of this Project. Any <br /> additional activities would require a grant amendment prior to performing the work. <br /> Task 4—Preparation and Submission of the Site Investigation Report <br /> Following completion of field activities and receipt of laboratory reports, Bodine will <br /> prepare a Site Investigation Report in accordance with the requirements of the Illinois <br /> EPA SRP regulations. The report will contain all of the required documentation and <br /> information specified in 35 IAC 740.425. For the purpose of this Project, it is assumed <br /> that Illinois EPA will take 90 days to review the Site Investigation Report. <br />
