Excerpts from Plan Commission Meeting of October 1, 2015 continued:
This use also meets the third standard. The proposed rooftop tower will not cause substantial
injury to the value of other properties in the neighborhood. The proposed rooftop tower will be
required to meet all applicable City building and fire codes, as well as all Federal requirements.
Based on the analysis, staff recommends approval of the rezoning and the conditional use permit
as submitted with the following conditions:
a. Site Plans with all supporting documentation be submitted to and approved by the
Planning Division, Fire Department and Fublic Works Department prior to sending to
City Council.
b. That the proposed operation be in compliance with applicable provisions of the City's
adopted Building Codes, including obtaining a building permit to perform any
proposed or required improvements to the existing structure.
Section XXIX. and XXII.A.2. requires the Plan Commission to hold a public hearing on a
rezoning and Conditional Use Permit request, and then forward its report and recommendation to
the City Council for final approval. A motion to forward Calendar Number 15-46 to the City
Council with a recommendation for approval is suggested.
Mr. Thomas Jemilo, petitioner, was sworn in by Mrs. Poland.
Mr. Jemilo stated that Verizon has identified this area as one that requires a need for im.proved I
network capacity and voice data coverage. This project will fill that need. j
There were no questions and no objectors present.
It was moved and seconded (Frantz/Peck) to forward Calendar No. 15-46 to the City Council
with a recommendation for approval. Motion carried unanimously.
