In high profile <br /> criminal and civil cases there is a need for increased security. The Macon County <br /> Sheriff's Department will utilize over hire hours by court security officers to ensure the <br /> safety of the judicial process. Often increased law enforcement presence is needed at <br /> special events, i.e. Farm Progress Show, numerous small community festivals. Deputy <br /> Sheriff over hires will be utilized to increase security at these scheduled and sometimes <br /> unscheduled events. Deputy Sheriff over hire hours will also be utilized in major criminal <br /> cases. <br /> In order to make this an effective program the Macon County Sheriff's Department will <br /> purchase fuel to be utilized in squad cars and the transport van. <br /> IV. GOALS,OBJECTIVES, and PERFORMANCE INDICATORS <br /> Prosram Goal l: The goal of the hireback program is to increase the hours Macon <br /> County Sherif�s Department personnel. <br /> Obiective 1: Deputy Sheriffs will work over hire hours at special events and major <br /> criminal cases. <br /> Obiective 2: Correctional Officers will be working over hire hours in transporting <br /> prisoners arrested on warrants in other jurisdictions and transporting inxnates to State of <br /> Illinois Correctional Facilities. <br /> Obiective 3: Court Security Officers will work over hire hours to ensure safety of the <br /> judicial process. <br /> Pro�ram Goa12: Purchase the necessary fuel to impalement this program. <br /> Obiective 1: Utilizing the fuel in Macon County Sherif�s Department vehicles. <br /> V. PROGRAM STRATEGY <br /> The Sheriff and his command officers will determine the allocation of over hire <br /> hours by the appropriate Sheriff's Department personnel. The Sheriff shall arrange for the <br /> purchase of the necessary fuel to achieve the programs goals. <br />
