III <br /> DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ETSB <br /> A. Provide for the design of the Emergency Telephone System, in cooperation with <br /> the City. <br /> B. Provide for the coding of an MSAG data base,and any subsequent update or <br /> maintenance thereof. <br /> C. Provide for approved E9-1-1 equipment, as provided for by applicable state and <br /> federal regulations. <br /> D. Provide for the ongoing network charges related to the Emergency Telephone <br /> System. <br /> E. Provide for other products and services necessary for the upgrade or maintenance <br /> of the System and any other purpose related to the operation of the System, not to include <br /> the costs of ublic safe enc rsonnel and e ui ment dis atched in res onse to an <br /> P tY� Y Pe <br /> q P P P <br /> emergency call. <br /> F. All equipment,hardware, software and other matenals purchased by the ETSB <br /> shall remain the property of the ETSB. <br /> G. The ETSB agrees to provide for the administration of the Macon County E9-1-1 <br /> System in close cooperation with the City. <br />, H. The ETSB shall be responsible for E9-1-1 System errors and disruptions. <br /> I. Training which is required by the ETSB, including tra.ining required for E9-1-1 <br /> telecommunicators, supervisors and PSAP managers, shall be at the expense of the <br /> ETSB. The ETSB sha11 reimburse the City for all expenses of required training, which <br /> expenses shall include, but are not limited to,the following: class fees and registration, <br /> travel, lodging,meals, and salaries of the employees attending and the actual amount of <br /> overtime necessitated by the absence of on-duty employees to attend the training. <br /> Expenses for training which is suggested,but not required by the ETSB which would <br /> enhance the performance of the Communications Staff, may be divided between the City <br /> and the ETSB. The exact division of those costs sha11 be determined by agreement <br /> between the City and the ETSB based on an analysis of the tra.ining needs,benefits and <br /> the estimated costs. The City agrees to provide at no cost to the ETSB all required <br /> training and certification required by the State of Illinois for the Law Enforcement <br /> Agency Data System(LEADS)for employees of the Emergency Communications <br /> Center. <br /> J. The ETSB reserves the right to monitor the PSAP's compliance with E9-1-1 rules <br /> and regulations. <br /> 4 <br />
