For the purposes of this Ordinance, the terms "motel,""motor <br /> lodge,"and"motor court"are synonymous and are included in this definition. <br /> ILLINOIS COMPILED STATUTES (ILCS.): The codified laws enacted by the Illinois <br /> Legislature. <br /> IMPROVED SURFACE: A paved surface designed for the use of motor vehicles and <br /> constructed of concrete,asphalt or similar materials. A rock bed does not constitute <br /> an improved surface. <br /> INSTITUTION: A building occupied by a non-profit corporation or a non-profit <br /> establishment for public use. <br /> INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITY (ICF): A facility that provides,on a continuing <br /> basis,personal care, including dressing and eating and health-related care and <br /> services,to individuals who require such assistance but who do not require the degree <br /> of care and treatment provided by a hospital, long term care facility or similar skilled <br /> nursing facility. <br /> INTERMODAL TRANSIT FACILITY: A complex designed for the transfer of human ' <br /> passengers and their cargo with various forms of transportation, including bus, rail, <br /> taxi or shuttle. <br /> INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITY: A complex of buildings and <br /> transportation systems designed to facilitate the movement of goods from one mode '� <br /> of transport to another. Typical facilities include rail-to-truck or truck-to-air <br /> operations.
