� <br /> Excerpts from Decatur City Plan Commission, September 1, 2005 <br /> Cal.No. OS-43 Petition of ARCHER DANIELS MIDLAND COMPANY, <br /> to rezone the premises at 4641 Faries Parkway from R-1 <br /> Single-Family Residence District to M 1 Intense <br /> Commercial/Light Industrial District. <br /> Ms. Suzan Stickle was sworn in by Ms. Jesse. <br /> Ms. Stickle gave the recommendation of staff: <br /> The subject site is approximately three-quarters (3/4) of an acre and is currently vacant. <br /> The subject petition requests rezoning to M-1 Intense CommerciaULight Industrial <br /> District to allow for the expansion of the current parking lot. The surrounding zoning <br /> includes M-2 Heavy Industrial District and M-1 Intense Commercial/Light Industrial <br /> District. The proposed rezoning is compatible with the adjacent zoning districts and land <br /> uses in the azea. The proposed rezoning to M-1 Intense Commercial/Light Industrial <br /> District is in harmony with the intent of the Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning <br /> Ordinance. <br /> Staff recommends approval of the rezoning petition with the following condition: <br /> A site, landscaping and lighting plan meeting the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance <br /> must be submitted to and approved by the Department of Engineering and Infrastructure <br /> and the Department of Economic and Urban Development before building permits aze <br /> issued. <br /> Section XXIX requires the Plan Commission to hold a public hearing on a rezoning <br /> request and then forwazd its report and recommendation to the City Council for final <br /> approval. A motion to forwazd Calendaz Number OS-43 to the City Council with a <br /> recommendation for approval is suggested. <br /> Mr. Jerry Stocks was sworn in by Ms. Jesse. <br /> Mr. Stocks, representative for the petitioner, stated he was available for any questions the <br /> committee might have. <br /> No objectors were present. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Anderson/Tom Smith)to forwazd Cal. No. OS-43 to the City <br /> Council with the recommendation for approval as submitted by petitioner. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />
